Why I built JustJoin

Hi, I'm Dries Couckuyt — founder of JustJoin and amateur triathlete. The idea for this product didn't come from a spreadsheet. It came from standing at the start of small group rides, runs, and swim sessions where half the people who'd promised to come never made it, and the host was juggling DMs, spreadsheets, and a payment link held together with tape.

Every existing tool I tried was built for someone else. Marketplaces wanted to own my audience. Generic ticketing tools were heavy and expensive. Scheduling apps treated a group session like a 1:1 meeting. The thing I actually needed — share one link, let people join in seconds, see who's coming, get paid if it's a paid session — didn't exist as a single, calm product.

So I built it. JustJoin is opinionated on purpose: one primary action per page, attendees don't need an account to join, hosts never see anyone's private email, and the whole flow works on a phone with one hand on a coffee. It's the tool I wished I'd had as a host, built for run clubs, yoga teachers, workshop hosts and coaches who already have an audience and just need the joining step to work.
